About the Image Compressor
Reduce the file size of a JPEG, PNG or WebP image without uploading it. Choose a quality level, compare the result with the original and download the compressed copy. The original dimensions stay unchanged.
Choosing image quality
A lower setting usually creates a smaller file but removes more visual detail. Start around 82% for photographs, then check edges, text and fine texture in the preview. Images already optimized for the web may show only a small saving.
FAQ
Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is decoded and compressed locally in your browser. It is never sent to DUN DAT or another server.
Which image formats can I compress?
The compressor accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP files up to 50 MB. JPEG remains JPEG; PNG and WebP are exported as WebP so the quality control can reduce file size effectively.
Why can the result sometimes be larger?
A source may already be highly optimized, or its content may not compress efficiently at the selected quality. The result shows the exact size difference before you download it.
