About the Decision Machine
Add one choice, name or task per line and draw one at random. Use it to settle a group choice, select a participant or choose what to do next. The list and result stay in your browser.
How the draw works
Empty lines are ignored and every remaining line becomes one entry. The winning index is selected with the browser’s cryptographic random source, without modulo bias. The result is fixed before the reveal animation starts, so animation timing cannot change the winner.
Use Remove & draw again when selecting several different winners. It removes the selected occurrence, then immediately runs a new draw from the remaining list.
FAQ
Is the draw random?
Yes. The winning line is selected with the browser’s cryptographic random-number generator. Each line has the same chance on every draw.
Do duplicate options change the odds?
Yes. Every non-empty line is a separate entry, so entering the same option twice gives it two entries in the draw.
Are my options uploaded or saved?
No. Parsing and drawing happen locally in your browser. DUN DAT does not upload or store the list.
Does the animation determine the result?
No. The result is selected before the short reveal animation begins. The animation only presents the completed draw.
